Conspiracy Bar is pleased to host a three-week film series, held every Thursday evening. This program, curated in response to the current political climate, seeks to explore themes of revolution, civil unrest, and internal conflict. Through a selection of films, we will examine the role of propaganda and misinformation in destabilizing societies and contributing to political collapse. Each screening will be followed by a moderated discussion, offering attendees the opportunity to engage critically with these pressing issues.

The first film of the series is a documentary by Chris Marker - Grin Without a Cat - French essay film focusing on global political turmoil in the 1960s and '70s, particularly the rise of the New Left in France and the development of socialist movements in Latin America. It was originally released in 1977, but was reworked in 1993 in the wake of the Cold War’s end and the collapse of the Soviet Union.
